Flash Back ArrestorsHelps prevent reverse gas flow and flashback (flame burning back through the torch, hose, regulator and tank) by utilizing an internal reverse flow check valve and a flame arrestor that quenches the flashback flame. Connects between regulators and hose. The pair has one for oxygen and one for the fuel gas. Our flashback arrestors are for mounting on the regulators. Standard "B" fitting. Sold as a set of 2 for fuel gas and oxygen. Red for fuel, blue for oxygen. Splitters Gas splitters allow you to connect more than one torch to a gas supply. The most common splitter is the Y which has three ports, or connections. Its name comes from its shape. All splitters use one port to let in the oxygen or fuel gas and the other remaining ports to redistribute the gas. It is recommended that you use a flashback arrestor between the torch and regulator. If the flashback arrestor is located between the regulator and the splitter then only one flashback arrestor per regulator will protect the gas cylinder from a flashback reaching it from all connected torches. With the exception of the Y WITH VALVES, which lets you shut off individual ports, you will need to cap off any outlet port that does not have a torch connected to it. We have two types of gas splitters available – one without valves, one with valves. Y without Valves For splitting one hose into two hoses. Standard "B" fittings. Allows you to run two torches off of one hose. For welding, beadmaking, lampworking, glassblowing, etc. Red for fuel, blue for oxygen. Y with Valves For splitting one hose into two hoses. Standard "B" fittings. Allows you to run two torches off of one hose. Valves on splitter let you turn off one or both sides at the valve without having to turn the tank or regulators off. For welding, beadmaking, lampworking, glassblowing, etc.
