Our digital pyrometers are high-quality, low-cost, and easy to use pyrometers that come complete with custom designed type K thermocouples, batteries, carrying cases and stands. We currently offer three models of digital pyrometers. We have one model that displays temperatures in degrees Farenheit, another model that displays temperatures in degrees Celcius and one model that displays temperatures in both degrees Farenheit and Celcius. All units come with stands and are temperature compensated. The F and C models have a separate metal stand desigend for table top use or wall mounting. The pyrometer can be removed from the stand and used as a hand held meter or laid flat on a table. The C model is the same as F model except temperature display is in Celcius. Resolution is 1oF or 1 o C depending on model. The CF model has a built in stand and can also be used on a table or mounted on a wall. The CF model has the ability to read in 1/10 ths of a degree at temperatures under 199.9 o C or o F, and has the added feature of displaying temeratures in o C or o F at the touch of a button. It is also capable of measureing temperatures over 1999 o F while in the o C mode, for those who work at higher temperatures. While the pyrometer can measure temperatures over 1999 o F, it can only display these temperatures while in the o C mode (it can not display the “2” in temperatures over 1999 o F). The CF model also has a handy HOLD function that instantly records and holds a temperature – a handy feature when measuring temperatures that fluctuate. All models are e asy to use - just turn on, insert thermocouple and you're ready to go. A great upgrade to replace your small dial analog pyrometer - easier to read, more accurate, more versatile. The thermocouple included with all units is a special polarized, no-pull-out design. The thermocouple is designed to be inserted into a 13/64" hole in the kiln. It is also polarized with a positive and negative side to prevent reverse insertion. To insert, hold loop at the end of the thermocouple in a vertical position. As the thermocouple is inserted, a keyway is cut by the loop. When the end of the thermocouple is inside the kiln, turn the thermocouple to a horizontal position and pull gently. The loop will keep the thermocouple in the kiln, greatly reducing the chances of having the thermocouple accidentally pulling out of the kiln. 72" (6 foot) long type K thermocouple with mini K connector This is a type K replacement thermocouple for many types of pyrometers calibrated for this length of wire. 72" long type K thermocouple with mini K connector. Thermocouple has a high temperature insulation. It is also polarized with a positive and negative side to prevent reverse insertion. The thermocouple is a special no-pull-out design. The thermocouple is designed to be inserted into a 13/64" hole in the kiln. T he thermocouple is made up of five, 1” porcelain segments. The four segments closest to the end of the thermocouple are narrower than the fifth segment. To insert, hold loop at the end of the thermocouple in a vertical position. As the thermocouple is inserted, a keyway is cut by the loop. When the end of the thermocouple is inside the kiln, turn the thermocouple to a horizontal position and pull gently. The thermocouple should be pushed into the brick until the largest of the five porcelain segments is touching the brick or is close to it. The loop will keep the thermocouple in the kiln, greatly reducing the chances of having the thermocouple accidentally pulling out of the kiln.
